A Framed Perspective: A Conversation with Artists
Róisín Lafferty Gallery will welcome guests for an intimate conversation with artists Elsbeth Shaw, Hugh O’Conor and Jan Cools on Wednesday 16 September from 6pm-8pm.
Each artist has arrived at their practice from a distinctly different place, bringing together experiences informed by fashion, interiors and design; film, performance and photography; and a self-taught approach to painting led by intuition, material and landscape.
Guided by Róisín Lafferty, the conversation will explore how these experiences have shaped the way each artist sees and creates, moving through process, instinct, material, colour, atmosphere and emotion; and the relationship between art and the spaces we inhabit.
Surrounded by their work within the layered residential interiors of the Gallery, this event offers a rare opportunity to hear three contrasting creative voices in conversation, uncover the thinking behind the work and experience each practice in an entirely new context.
