In 1868, the American watchmaker and engiIeer Florentine Ariosto Jones established the ‘International Watch Company’ in Schaffhausen in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. This legendary timepiece, designed by Gérald Genta, profoundly influenced the Ingenieur collection and the broader luxury sports watch category, embodying IWC’s enduring commitment to engineering excellence and innovative design.
