HUGO HICKEY
Consultant
Hugo Hickey is an award-winning designer, architect, and consultant at Design Week Dublin, where he assists with the development of partnerships across the city’s architectural community and with international diaspora. He is an Associate at Henry J Lyons, with more than a decade of professional experience in Dublin and New York spanning civic, cultural, transport, workplace, hospitality, mixed-use and large-scale urban regeneration projects.
A Registered Architect with both the RIAI and ARBUK, Hugo holds a BSc in Architecture and a Professional Diploma in Architecture from University College Dublin, and a Masters of Architecture completed between UCD and UC Berkeley. Postgraduate studies include business management, strategy and leadership, at UCD Smurfit School.
His work combines architecture, urban design and organisational strategy, with a particular interest in how design can strengthen civic identity, support cultural exchange and contribute to the long-term development of the city.
Across the wider Irish design and architecture community Hugo cultivates relationships with practitioners, studios and cultural institutions in Ireland and with members of the Irish creative diaspora.
